As part of a long-standing commitment to community engagement and responsible investing, I have been privileged to contribute my time and professional expertise to several respected organizations. Through these roles, I have supported initiatives that promote education, health, and community development while helping steward charitable assets for long-term sustainability. This dedication to community engagement and professional service is reflected in my participation with the following organizations:
Northern Lights Scout Foundation (1993-2013)
Over a twenty-year period, I have served as a board member, vice president, and Chair of the Investment Committee. I provided strategic leadership and oversight of governance, financial management, and investment strategy to ensure the long-term sustainability and support of Scouting initiatives across the region.
Edmonton Community Foundation (2011-2017)
As a member of the Investment Committee, I was honored to help steward the Foundation’s endowment funds, ensuring that prudent investment management supported grants and initiatives across the community. This experience deepened my appreciation for the power of strategic philanthropy in creating lasting impact
TELUS World of Science – Edmonton (1996-2002)
Serving on the Board of Directors, I contributed to advancing the organization’s mission to inspire discovery and lifelong learning in science and technology. My involvement included helping in the transition from the Edmonton Space & Science Centre to the Odyssium and then to the now TELUS World of Science.
Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation (2019 – Present)
I currently serve on the Investment Committee, helping to oversee the Foundation’s portfolio and ensure that donor contributions are managed responsibility. The goal is to sustain critical health initiatives and improve patient care through sound, forward-looking investment practices.
In addition to my community and professional work, I have served as an instructor at Grant MacEwan University, teaching both the Canadian Securities Course and the Certified Financial Planning (CFP) programs. These roles allowed me to share practical industry experience with aspiring financial professionals and contribute to the advancement of financial education in the community.
